The Road To Schism - The Association of U.S. Catholic Priests

...This week, about 240 priests from around the country are meeting at Saint Leo University in St. Leo for the inaugural assembly of the newly formed Association of U.S. Catholic Priests. Among its goals: To be a "voice of hope" and to "celebrate and implement the visionary concepts of Vatican Council II."

The Rev. David Cooper, a Milwaukee pastor and board chairman, says keeping the spirit of what was intended by the council — which opened in October 1962 and concluded in December 1965 — is urgent, given the direction the church seems to be taking.

"We're not positioning ourselves to be a controversial voice, but a collaborative one," .

It is not going to end well for this association.

Her Majesty Poses a Riddle

Barack Obama met with the Queen of England. He asked her, "Your Majesty, how do you run such an efficient government? Are there any tips you can give to me?"

"Well," said the Queen, "The most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people."

Obama frowned, and then asked, "But how do I know the people around me are really intelligent?"

The Queen took a sip of tea and replied, "Oh, that’s easy: you just ask them to answer an intelligent riddle." The Queen then pushed a button on her intercom and said, "Please send Tony Blair in here, would you?"

Tony Blair walked into the room and said, "Yes, your Majesty?"

The Queen smiled and said, "Answer me this please, Tony, your mother and father have a child. It is not your brother and it is not your sister. Who is it?"

Without pausing for a moment, Tony Blair answered, "That would be me."

"Yes! very good," said the Queen.

Obama went back home to ask Joe Biden, his Vice President, the same question. "Joe, answer this for me. Your mother and your father have a child. It’s not your brother and it’s not your sister. Who is it?"

"I’m not sure," said Biden. "Let me get back to you on that one." He went to his advisors and asked every one, but none could give him an answer.

Finally, Biden ran into Sarah Palin while eating out one night.

Biden asked, "Sarah, can you answer this for me? Your mother and father have a child and it’s not your brother or your sister. Who is it?"

Sarah Palin answered right back, "That’s easy, it’s me!"

Biden smiled, and said, "Thanks!" Then he went back to speak with Obama.

"Say, I did some research and I have the answer to that riddle.

It’s Sarah Palin."

Obama got up, stomped over to Biden, and angrily yelled into his face,

"No you idiot! It’s Tony Blair!"

Later Press Secretary Jay Carney told a press conference what the president really meant to say...

God Save the Queen.

"Free Speech: It's Dead in Maryland!"

On: LES FEMMES - THE TRUTH

Not long ago, conservative blogger Aaron Walker was arrested in Maryland during a court proceeding for violating a "peace order" protecting public figure and Democratic operative, Brett Kimberlin, who is a convicted terrorist (1978 Speedway bombings) and perjurer. What did Walker do? He blogged about Kimberlin. Although he didn't contact him and didn't ask others to contact him, he was accused of "inciting" others to contact him. (If you are feeling like you are reading a Kafka novel, I'm not surprised.)

This is free speech?

Kimberlin is using the courts to harass and intimidate the opposition. The strategy? Accuse them of "inciting" others and bog them down in legal actions. (Is he also using the police by SWATing his political opponents?) Check out this outrageous story here and here and here.

In response to Kimberlin's strategy of intimidation, I'm helping to "flood the zone" by blogging about Kimberlin and his absolute disregard for human rights and the rule of law. His front agenda (helping youth through music) has been funded by George Soros' Tides Foundation and by liberals like Teresa Heinz Kerry and Barbra Streisand. It would be interesting to see where all that money is really going.

Thanks to LES FEMMES - THE TRUTH

Mitt Romney Was a Bully

Look, we aren't proud of our high school ways. But it turns out back in the day at the Cranbook School, if you were gay, had uncool hair, were a near-sighted teacher, or weren't rich, Mitt Romney would've probably bullied you for he was a feared "Day Student," a menacing "Cranny" if you will.

The Washington Post's Jason Horowitz has a troublesome profile about the tyranny of a high school-aged Mitt Romney, gleaned from interviews with a bevy of his Cranbrook classmates. Horowitz examines the logistics and hierarchy of the popular kids at Cranbrook ("day students" were cool because they weren't boarding there, Romney was a day student), but most importantly, since Romney is seeking the Republican nominee for president, the way Romney interacted with gay students (he called one "a girl"), how he treated his elders (he pranked one and slammed or "bidded" the same, vision-impaired teacher into a closed door), and how obsessed he was with wealth (“He wanted to know what my father did for a living ... He wanted to know if my mother worked. He wanted to know what town I lived in").

Of course, if you were so inclined, you could draw parallels between Romney's teenaged Cranbrook self and his current presidential platform. Anti-gay, pro-wealth, anti-old--fits nicely right? And it's definitely a shock from Romney's effusive and played out "Nice guy" schtick. But it's this one instance, of Romney terror that we just couldn't shake:

He can’t look like that. That’s wrong. Just look at him!” an incensed Romney told Matthew Friedemann, his close friend in the Stevens Hall dorm, according to Friedemann’s recollection. Mitt, the teenaged son of Michigan Gov. George Romney, kept complaining about Lauber’s look, Friedemann recalled.

A few days later, Friedemann entered Stevens Hall off the school’s collegiate quad to find Romney marching out of his own room ahead of a prep school posse shouting about their plan to cut Lauber’s hair. Friedemann followed them to a nearby room where they came upon Lauber, tackled him and pinned him to the ground. As Lauber, his eyes filling with tears, screamed for help, Romney repeatedly clipped his hair with a pair of scissors.

As Horowitz notes, Romney's spokespeople say that the candidate couldn't recall this or any instances mentioned in the report. Funny how that works, since Romney has been really good at remembering things from his past, even if they didn't happen or if they occurred before he was born.

Important news alert, It was reported today that Mitt Romney rebulican presidential hopeful po-po-ed in his di-de until he was 2 years old. It also appears that his famiy covered this up by throwing the evidence away! Democrats have been reported saying "this stinks to high heaven."

Of course the Sodomist community is up at arms over this... here.

I was bullied in high school too. It is not relevant any more. If it is tearing this guy up after all these years he has more problems than being bullied 50 years ago.

.. Dhimmitude -- What does it mean?

"We have to pass this so we can find out what is in it." Nancy Pelosi, former Speaker of the House of Representitives.

The word 'Dhimmitude" is found in the new health care bill; so what does it mean?

President Obama used it in the health care bill. Now isn't this interesting?
It is used in the health care law?

Dhimmitude. It's on page 107 of the healthcare bill. Yep, it exists.

Dhimmitude is the Muslim system of controlling non-Muslim populations conquered through jihad. Specifically, it is the TAXING of non-Muslims in exchange for tolerating their presence AND as a coercive means of converting conquered remnants to Islam.

ObamaCare allows the establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia Muslim diktat in the United States . Muslims are specifically exempted from the government mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty tax for being uninsured. Islam considers insurance to be "gambling", "risk-taking", and "usury" and is thus banned. Muslims are specifically granted exemption based on this. How convenient.

So we as Christians, will have crippling IRS liens placed against all of our assets, including real estate, cattle, and even accounts receivables, and will face hard prison time because I refuse to buy insurance or pay the penalty tax. Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan will have no such penalty and will have 100% of his health needs paid for by the de facto government insurance.

Non-Muslims will be paying a tax to subsidize Muslims. This is Dhimmitude.

DEA forgets about prisoner

Not content with running guns to Mexico as part of the "Fast and Furious" debacle, the DEA has a new problem... It is time for Eric Holder, and Janet Nepalitano to go. Niether have clue, and I submit neither will take responsibilty for this injustice.

San Diego, CA (KNSD) -- A San Diego college student detained for several days in a county detention facility cell is seeking an attorney and may be considering filing a civil lawsuit.

The 24-year old UCSD engineering student was left in the cell for five days without food or water, seemingly forgotten by the federal authorities who detained him.

He was one of seven people detained after a Drug Enforcement Administration ecstasy raid in University City on April 21, according to a DEA statement.

"The individual was at the house by his own admission," the DEA confirmed Monday.

During the raid, authorities confiscated ecstasy, marijuana, prescription medication, hallucinogenic mushrooms, and a white powdery substance that was described as a synthetic hallucinogen.

They also seized numerous weapons including a Russian rifle, handguns and thousands of rounds of ammunition.

"Seven suspects were brought back to county detention...one was released, but accidentally left in one of the cells," a statement from the DEA read.

The defendants were brought back to the DEA office after the raid and processed.

The suspects were moved around the five cells at the detention facility during the proceeding.

None were strip or body cavity searched, the DEA stated.

A law enforcement source said that the student was handcuffed and held in a room no larger than the average bathroom.

Sources say a worker at the DEA discovered the man by chance about five days later after hearing strange noises coming from the holding cells.

When authorities with the DEA discovered that the student was still in the cell, they immediately called emergency medical services.

In the cell, the detainee told authorities he found a white powdery substance, which he took, the statement said.

Later testing revealed the substance was methamphetamine.

Sources close to the student say he nearly died of kidney failure in Sharp hospital due to the dehydration he experienced.

He was treated for several days and released.

He is not currently under arrest, authorities with the DEA said.

San Diego defense attorney Gretchen Von Helms says the victim could get millions if he files a lawsuit.

"In all my years of practice I've never heard of the DEA or any Federal government employee simply forgetting about someone that they have in their care," she said.

"There has to be repercussions if people do not follow the safety and the care when they have a human being in their custody."

Former federal prosecutor John Kirby said he's familiar with the holding cells at the DEA office. He told NBC News that the rooms have no bathrooms and the suspect likely went without food or water.

Given his familiarity with the DEA, Kirby said this incident is "inconceivable" because every detainee is processed, and it would be hard to get lost in the shuffle.

"You talk about whether they might have done it intentionally, No way because somebody's career is done over this," added Kirby.

Yet, they worry when a Gauntanimo detainee is given white bread instead of a bagette for lunch...

Pornography kills

<iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/r0q_VGacfNk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>iframe>
The objectification of men and women in pornography  is a great evil.  It leads, as we see in this video, to death. Sexual objectification is the practice of regarding or treating another person merely as an instrument (object) towards one's sexual pleasure, and a sex object is a person who is regarded simply as an object of sexual gratification or who is sexually attractive. Objectification is an attitude that regards a person as a commodity or as an object for use, with little or no regard for a person's personality or sentience.  Eventually the performer, the object, realizes that he or she has become nothing more than that.  After a life of self destruction in film, they end their life believing that they have only worth in their pornography.

Hollande promises to tax the rich...

...to pay off French deficit

Leftwing frontrunner in presidential race launches manifesto on how Socialist party would deal with financial crisis

Angelique Chrisafis in Paris guardian.co.uk,

The Socialist rural MP, who recently declared "my real adversary in this campaign is the world of finance", launched his manifesto on Thursday, a road map of how the left would deal with the financial crisis. Hollande said he would raise taxes for banks and big companies as well as France's richest people, and use the money to help wipe out the nation's crippling public deficit.

By scrapping some €29bn (£24bn) worth of tax breaks for wealthier people introduced under Nicolas Sarkozy, he said he could find €20bn to deal with the corrosion of French society: record unemployment, soaring youth jobless figures and an education system that has been shamed as one of the most unequal in Europe, where one in six children leave with no qualifications.

Hollande increased his lead in the polls after his first big rally on Sunday used Barack Obama-inspired slogans of "hope and "change". But he was under pressure to counter the charges by Sarkozy that the French left is high-spending, with its head in the clouds of idealism and little credibility on managing the world's financial crisis.

For the first time since the second world war, the election campaign is dominated by an unpredictable economic crisis. Unemployment is at a 12-year high with 2.8m jobless, and youth unemployment is over 20%. Last year, the new unemployed were equal to the entire population of the city of Grenoble (about 157,000).

With France losing its AAA credit rating, and a gaping hole in state welfare coffers, the French left cannot make its traditional high-spending promises on public services, and has little room for manouevre.

If Hollande's Sunday rally was aimed at injecting some dazzle into what critics have called an unexciting campaign, the manifesto launch marked Hollande's return to the careful, number-crunching technocrat who ran the Socialist party for 11 years. The Nouvel Observateur likened him to an anaesthetist sitting in a white coat by the bed reassuring France about its major surgery. Le Monde called it a "Churchillian" manifesto; France isn't at war, but "things are bad", the paper said.

If there is to be blood, sweat and tears in France, Hollande suggested they would come from the richest 5%: "If there are sacrifices to be made, and there will be, then it will be for the wealthiest to make them".

The plank of his manifesto was making the tax system fairer — raising the tax bracket for the highest earners favoured under Sarkozy. He focused on education and youth, promising 60,000 new jobs in schools and 150,000 state-aided jobs for youth, as well as help for small start-up companies. The banking industry will be forced to draw a line between its speculative financial market operations and the more traditional role of using savers' deposits to finance industry and the economy — a policy also being considered in Britain. Hollande said he could bring France's bloated deficit back on target by 2017.

The electoral battleground will now be fought over France's middle class, such as teachers, nurses and social workers, who have low salaries but earn too much for French social benefits and too little for tax breaks. They are disillusioned and angry that France's social mobility has ground to a halt.

Sarkozy's rightwing UMP party said Hollande's manifesto would lead to a "middle class tax bloodbath". The party leader, Jean-Francois Copé, likened Hollande to Venezeula's Hugo Chávez.

Sarkozy is to announce a last-ditch reform package this weekend, including a likely rise on sales tax to help meet social welfare costs. The Socialists claim this will hit the middle class the hardest.

Meanwhile, Hollande, who aims to be the first leftwing president since François Mitterrand, sparked amusement in London when it emerged that a Shakespeare quote he used in his Sunday rally — "They failed because they did not start with a dream" – actually came not from the playwright William but from the novelist and Daily Telegraph book reviewer Nicholas.

French Socialist presidential candidate outlines how he intends to increase taxes for the rich, cut tax on profit for small businesses, and cancel billions of euros of tax breaks

Taxing the rich will not work monsieur, it never has. When you punish the successful you decrease the desire to succeed.

A desperado in kindergarten

..Police handcuff Ga. kindergartner for tantrum

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Police in Georgia handcuffed a kindergartner after the girl threw a tantrum, and the police chief is making no apologies.

WMAZ-TV (http://on.wmaz.com/I0ZrNE ) reports that 6-year-old Salecia Johnson is accused of tearing items off the walls and throwing furniture at school in the central Georgia city of Milledgeville. The police report says the girl knocked over a shelf that injured the principal.

The elementary school called police after the Friday tantrum. The report says when an officer tried to calm the child, she resisted and was handcuffed. The girl was charged with simple assault and damage to property.

Police Chief Dray Swicord says the department's policy is to handcuff people in certain situations, and "there is no age discrimination on that rule."

The child was suspended from school until August.

Meanwhile Milledgeville has a higher crime rate than the average US City, and has had a higher crime rate for 7 out of 11 years 1999 to 2010.

These statistics may seem a bit out of whack as crime has been on the decline over the last few years, no doubt as a result of the incarcerating prepubescent violent youth.

Newark Mayor Cory Booker saves woman from fire

Mayor Cory A. Booker of Newark, N.J., rescued a woman trapped in a burning house Thursday night and carried her to safety.

Booker was treated for smoke inhalation at a local hospital and released. He also suffered second-degree burns on his hand.

The New York Times reports that Booker arrived at his Newark home after taping a television interview and found a neighbor's house ablaze. Before firefighters arrived on the scene, the mayor and two members of his security detail entered the house and helped the residents get out safely.

Booker then heard a woman screaming for help on the second floor and went back inside.

"I just grabbed her and whipped her out of the bed," Booker told The Star-Ledger.

Booker posted a Twitter message shortly after the incident: "Thanks 2 all who are concerned. Just suffering smoke inhalation. We got the woman out of the house. We are both off to hospital. I will b ok."

The mayor added that one of his security officers had tried to stop him from going inside. "We actually get into a fight because his job is to protect me," Booker said.

Newark Fire Chief John Centanni said Booker and his security detail performed a professional rescue and that their actions may have saved the woman's life.

Not many people would have thought to do what Cory Booker the man did, let alone a politician.

Who can we trust?

Nun: I was fired for reporting priest's dirty mags

By JOANN LOVIGLIO

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — A nun testified Monday in a landmark church sex-abuse trial that she was fired from a southeastern Pennsylvania parish for reporting concerns to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia about explicit mail that a priest had received.

Sister Joan Scary said she lost her job as director of education at St. Gabriel's in the rural Montgomery County town of Stowe, near Pottstown, after she complained to then-Cardinal Anthony Bevilacqua about the Rev. Edward DePaoli shortly after his arrival in 1995. She said she was concerned about mail DePaoli began to receive, including computer disks from Denmark and magazines containing "deplorable" content, none of which included DePaoli's clerical title or indicated that his address was a rectory.

DePaoli, who was defrocked in 2005, is not a defendant in the trial but prosecutors are using the testimony about him and others to build a case against Monsignor William Lynn, who was the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's secretary of clergy from 1992 to 2004 and entrusted within investigating complaints against priests.

Lynn is the first Roman Catholic official in the U.S. charged with endangering children for allegedly moving priests suspected of molestation from parish to parish without warning anyone of previous sex-abuse complaints. He is on trial with the Rev. James Brennan, who is charged with the attempted rape of a 14-year-old boy in 1996. Both have pleaded not guilty.

Scary said Monday she was unaware when he came to St. Gabriel's that DePaoli was convicted in federal court in 1986 of possessing child pornography and sentenced to probation. The conviction was not announced in the parish but Scary said she did think it odd that "he didn't really have duties."

"During Mass he would sit in the sanctuary and wouldn't do anything, other than just be there," she said. "Most priests would either read the gospel, give a homily, help out with communion ... it just seemed strange."

She testified she was warned by the church's pastor to keep any concerns about DePaoli to herself "or I could pack my bags and leave."

That's exactly what happened after she anonymously mailed one of DePaoli's magazines to Bevilacqua, she testified, with a handwritten note asking whether the cardinal thought that it was appropriate material for a priest. She was fired by the Rev. James Gormley, the pastor, in May 1996 after seven years at St. Gabriel's.

A detective went on the stand Monday to read a series of memos regarding the case of the Rev. Thomas Shea, who was removed from active ministry in 1994, a week after the archdiocese was contacted by an attorney who said his client was sexually abused as an altar boy by Shea in the 1970s at Saint Helena parish in Philadelphia. In one memo, Lynn suggests the priest might have been "seduced into it" by the then-altar boy.

Shea, who was sent to a Catholic treatment facility and diagnosed as a pedophile with the emotional maturity level of a 12- or 13-year-old boy, was permitted to retire in 1995 and said he had only two victims — the boy whose lawyer contacted the archdiocese and a boy who had since died.

In 2002, however, the archdiocese received an anonymous letter from someone who said his or her family member was one of several boys molested by Shea in the 1970s at Saint Joseph parish in Collingdale and "cannot to this day stop running away from his life."

A detective on the witness stand told Assistant District Attorney Patrick Blessington that investigators found no evidence that the archdiocese tried to locate the letter writer or any other potential victims.
This isn't getting better. The church needs to remove these demons by the root. This realy angers me. We see the result of 50 years of indifference of Bishops in choosing qualified candidates for the priesthood. Liberal leanings have alowed these heinous acts to continue.

‘Deeply Offensive & Blasphemous’?:

Catholics Protesting ‘Ale Mary’s’ Bar in Maryland.

A bar in Fells Point, Maryland, is under fire as Catholics are claiming that the local business is mocking the church. But the owners of the establishment, Ale Mary’s, are defending themselves and dismissing the allegations that put it at the center of a religiously-based protest.

The business’ name, which is a play on the “Hail Mary,” a prayer devoted to Jesus Christ’s mother, is one of the main points of contention. But inside the bar, there are also religious relics and jokes that don’t seem to sit well with believers. From a holy water dish-turned-candy dish to a bobble-head Jesus, there’s plenty of religious imagery to go around. The Baltimore Sun has more:

They decorate with photos of nuns. They post their draft list on a hymn board. They offer Father Luies Grilled Wings and Father Tom’s Fried Ice Cream Sundae. And, possibly their most serious transgression according to the group: the bar’s “chalice” club where people can get their beer served in a chalice.

One of the bar’s owners, Tom Rivers, appeared in an interview with WBFF-TV, where he claimed that the name of Ale Mary’s was inspired by his wife and sister-in-law, not by the Catholic Church.

“My wife is named Mary, my brother who is my partner — his wife was named Mary — we were brought up in a Catholic house — church — it just seemed to fit,” he explained. “It was cool.”

But local Catholics aren’t amused, nor are then accepting these explanations. Individuals opposed to the bar’s tactics and theme have launched a Facebook page called “500,000 Against Ale Mary’s.” The group explains the intentions behind the protest:

This group has been formed to protest, and make known, the deeply offensive and blasphemous use of sacred objects used in the Catholic Church in Her most profound rituals and liturgies by the bar Ale Mary. In this establishment Chalices that contain the precious blood of Christ are being used as common drinking cups, and a Monstrance that is to be used to display the Sacred body of Christ for adoration is being used as a kitch decoration sitting on a bar where patrons while their time over drinks. A holy water font is also used as a simple candy dish.

So far, the movement has 761 members.

A nerw round of Anti-Catholicism

It is said that you are known by who your enemies are. Why attack the Catholic Church? It is because satan knows that only by destroying the Catholic Church can he control the world without opposition.

Vandals Deface Seattle Church on Easter Morning With Bizarre & Anti-Catholic Messages

While children were just hours away from enjoying their Easter baskets filled with candy and delightful trinkets, vandals were preparing another “gift” for a Seattle church on Easter eve.

Over a dozen messages were found spray-painted on St. James Cathedral on Resurrection morning. Church officials believe that the attack on the church occurred sometime between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

Red paint was sprayed on a statue of the Virgin Mary and bizarre and disturbing graffiti messages were painted on the front of the church and in the courtyard. One message read, “Child killer.” Another said, “Death Angel, we won’t be silent.” And a third proclaimed, “The Catholic Church was not born in the U.S.A.”

It took workers all day to sandblast and remove the damage. The parish will now be increasing security to prevent future attacks, as authorities attempt to figure out who was responsible.

Larry Brouse, an administrator at St. James, dismissed the graffiti, though, and said that it is “not important.”

“What’s happening inside is important — that we’re celebrating Easter,” This is at least the second time that unfavorable messages have been posted on the church. In March, other anti-Catholic notes were reportedly stenciled at the cathedral as well.

Of course this is in Seattle, Washington one of the most intolerant states in the United States.

bad week in Washinton

Brutal week for Obama, the worst of his presidency
By Charles Hurt

The past seven brutal days will go down as one of the worst weeks in history for a sitting president. It certainly has been, without any doubt, the worst week yet for President Obama.

Somehow, Mr. Obama managed to embarrass himself abroad, humiliate himself here at home, see his credentials for being elected so severely undermined that it raises startling questions about whether he should have been elected in the first place — let alone be re-elected later this year.

Consider:

Last Friday, Mr. Obama wandered into the killing of Trayvon Martin. Aided by his ignorance of the situation, knee-jerk prejudices and tendency toward racial profiling, Mr. Obama played a heavy hand in elevating a tragic situation in which a teenager was killed into a full-blown hot race fight.

Americans, he admonished, need to do some “soul-searching.” And then, utterly inexplicably, he veered off into this bizarre tangent about how he and the poor dead kid look so much alike they could be father and son. It was election-year race-pandering gone horribly wrong.

By the start of this week, Mr. Obama had fled town and was racing to the other side of the planet just as the Supreme Court was taking up the potentially-embarrassing matter of Obamacare. While in South Korea he was caught on a hidden mic negotiating with the president of our longest-standing rival on how to sell America and her allies down the river once he gets past the next election.

Meanwhile, back at home, the Supreme Courttook up the single most important achievement of Mr. Obama’s presidency and, boy, was it embarrassing. The great constitutional law professor, it turns out, may not quite be the wizard he told us he was.

By most accounts, Mr. Obama and his stuttering lawyers were all but laughed out of the courthouse. They were even stumbling over softball questions lobbed by Mr. Obama’s own hand-picked justices.

Mr. Obama closed his week pulling off a nearly unimaginable feat: He managed to totally and completely unify the nastily-fighting Democrats and Republicans in Congress. Late Wednesday night, they unanimously voted — 414 to zip — to reject the budget Mr. Obama had presented, leaving him not even a thin lily’s blade to hide behind.

So, in one week, Mr. Obama got caught whispering promises to our enemy, incited a race war, raised serious questions about his understanding of the Constitution, and then got smacked down over his proposed budget that was so wildly reckless that even Democrats in Congress could not support it.

It was as if you lumped Hurricane Katrina and the Abu Ghraib abuses into one week for George W. Bush. And added on top of that the time he oddly groped German Chancellor Angela Merkel and got caught cursing on a hot mic.

Even then, it wouldn’t be as bad as Mr. Obama’s week. You would probably also have to toss in the time Mr. Bush’s father threw up into the lap of Japan’s prime minister. Only then might we be approaching how bad a week it was for Mr. Obama.

N0t that you will see any trace of embarrassment in the face of Mr. Obama. He has mastered the high political art of shamelessness, wearing it smugly and cockily. Kind of like a hoodie.

When Even Casual Sex Requires a State Welfare Program, You’re Pretty Much Done For

The Fluke CharadeWhy should we have to fund a middle-aged schoolgirl’s sex life?By Mark SteynI’m writing this from Australia, so, if I’m not quite up to speed on recent events in the United States, bear with me — the telegraph updates are a bit slow here in the bush. As I understand it, Sandra Fluke is a young coed who attends Georgetown Law, and recently testified before Congress. Oh, wait, no. Update: It wasn’t a congressional hearing; the Democrats just got it up to look like one, like summer stock, with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid doing the show right here in the barn, and providing a cardboard set for the world premiere of Miss Fluke Goes to Washington, with full supporting cast led by Chuck Schumer strolling in through the French windows in tennis whites and drawling, “Anyone for bull****?”Oh, and the “young coed” turns out to be 30, which is what less evolved cultures refer to as early middle age. She’s a couple of years younger than Mozart was at the time he croaked, but, if the Dems are to be believed, the plucky little Grade 24 schoolgirl has already made an even greater contribution to humanity. She’s had the courage to stand up in public and demand that someone else (and this is where one is obliged to tiptoe cautiously, lest offense is given to gallant defenders of the good name of American maidenhood such as the many prestigious soon-to-be-former sponsors of this column who’ve booked Bill Maher for their corporate retreat with his amusing “Sarah Palin is a c***” routine . . . ) Where was I? Oh, yes. The brave middle-aged schoolgirl had the courage to stand up in public and demand that someone else pay for her sex lifeRead more: http://nation.foxnews.com/sandra-fluke/2012/03/11/when-even-casual-sex-requires-state-welfare-program-you-re-pretty-much-done#ixzz1oqw4OaZA

It's times like this that make a Dad want to cry...

..Oliver Stone's son converts to Islam in Iran

Sean Stone, son of Oscar-winning director Oliver Stone, converted to Islam on Tuesday in Iran, where he is making a documentary, he told AFP.

"The conversion to Islam is not abandoning Christianity or Judaism, which I was born with. It means I have accepted Mohammad and other prophets," he said in a brief telephone call from the central Iranian city of Isfahan, where he underwent the ceremony.

Sean Stone's famous father is Jewish, while his mother is Christian.

The 27-year-old filmmaker did not say why he converted.

According to Iran's Fars news agency, Sean Stone had become a Shiite and had chosen to be known by the Muslim first name Ali.

Sean/Ali Stone has acted in minor roles in several of his father's films, and has directed a handful of documentaries.

He evidently wasn't raised in the tenants of Chrisitanity or Judaism.

Political Correctness and Muslims

Bill O'Reilly

Feb 04, 2012

The story is grisly: a husband and wife murdering their three young daughters, ages 19, 17 and 13, by drowning them along with their stepmother. The couple was assisted by their 21-year-old son. All were found guilty of first-degree murder in Ontario, Canada. They were sentenced to life in prison.

Mohammad Shafia and his wife, Tooba, immigrated to Canada from Afghanistan in 2007. Being Muslims, they believe in Sharia law, which in some cases allows so-called "honor killings" -- that is, if a family member deviates from strict Muslim teachings, other family members can execute them. Of course, that's insane. But under the Taliban in Afghanistan and in some other parts of the world, "honor killings" are allowed.

In his eyes, Shafia's three daughters were guilty of becoming westernized, wearing nontraditional Muslim clothing and associating with the dreaded Christians. So this demented father ordered the girls killed, as well as his first wife, whom he believed was aiding them in their alleged transgressions.

Reporting on the story in America has been scant and strange. According to the Media Research Center, the initial Associated Press report made no mention of the fact that the convicted murderers are Muslim. They were described as "Afghan." In fact, the only theology mentioned in the AP dispatch is Christianity, used while describing the boyfriend of one of the daughters.

On NBC's "Nightly News," anchor Brian Williams said this: "A verdict has been reached in a murder case that's gotten a lot of attention because it involved so-called honor killings of family members. In this case, an Afghan family living in Canada. It is a culture clash getting a lot of attention to our north."
Culture clash? Between whom? Afghans and Canadians? What is Williams talking about?
The reporter on the story, Kevin Tibbles, also avoided using the word "Muslim." He described the motivation for the violence as "a strict religious family that felt it had been disgraced."

What religion? Incredibly, the reporter didn't say.

This is no coincidence. The politically correct U.S. media are frightened by Muslim violence. They avoid the issue whenever they can.

Just think about what would happen if a Catholic father murdered his daughter for having an abortion. Would the AP and NBC News not have mentioned the religion involved? I think we all know the answer to that question.

Political correctness is dangerous because it obscures the truth. It allows certain people and groups to avoid scrutiny for destructive actions. Today, the press in America is dominated by liberal editors who believe they are protecting "minorities" by failing to mention facts that might cast them in a negative light. Thus, honest reporting is becoming almost obsolete when certain groups are involved.

Shafia, his wife and his son are Muslim fanatics who believe they have the right to commit murder in the name of their religion. Somebody get that dispatch to the media.

If he had been a Catholic, the reporter would not have missed it.

Court: CA gay marriage ban is unconstitutional

In another not so suprising court ruling in the 9th Circus Court the marriage ban in California (also known as Proposition 8,) has been overturned allowing for a final appeal to the Supreme Court of the U.S.

California voters passed Proposition 8 with 52 percent of the vote in November 2008, five months after the state Supreme Court legalized same-sex marriage by striking down a pair of laws that had limited marriage to a man and a woman.

This too is a salvo fired at not only the voters in California, but also at the Church.

If this ruling stands, will next the Catholic Churches be sued for not performing same sex marriage?

What is next, overturning a ban on different species marriage?

..Jon Stewart's Rare Show of Hypocrisy Lights Up Cable TV

..By Bob Bartelby

I am a huge fan of comedian Jon Stewart. I think he should run for president. He'd make a great one. That said, I am an equal opportunity commentator, and as such it would be unconscionable for me to allow Stewart a free pass after Tuesday evening's blatant hypocrisy regarding former Massachusetts governor and likely also-ran Mitt Romney.

According to the Huffington Post, Stewart blasted Romney, (who according to CBC earned $21.7 million in 2010) for his earnings and his low tax rate. "How in the world do you, Mitt Romney, justify making more in one day than the median American family makes in a year -- while paying the same tax rate as the guy who scans shoes at the airport?" asked Stewart. Romney's effective earnings, all from investments, as he is per his own words according to the New York Times, unemployed work out to about $57,000 per day in fiscal year 2010.

Here's the problem: According to celebritynetworth.com, Stewart earns $15 million per year as his salary on "The Daily Show." We can assume, because that is a job, he pays closer to the 30 percent rate than Romney's 13.9 percent.

However, that's only part of the picture. Stewart is also estimated to have a net worth of $80 million. Depending on how he is invested, he is also earning a substantial income from his $80 million nest egg. Even if he is invested conservatively, he's likely earning investment income of $4 million per year, which would be taxed at a rate equal to Romney's. Indeed, between investment income and book royalties, and his salary, more than likely Stewart earns more money in the fiscal year than Romney despite paying a marginally higher tax rate.

Stewart goes on to blast Romney for having lobbied against tax reform that would have been detrimental to his personal holdings, but the fact is Stewart benefits from the tax laws too, and as such should have disclosed the same.

Of course, rich men don't want to pay more taxes than they currently do. But what I can't figure out is why anyone thinks the rich man should like taxation any more than the poor man does. That's just insane. I love "The Daily Show" and its contribution to the national dialog, but that bit was just plain hypocritical. Come on, Jon. You're better than that...

Well Jon what cha got to say?

Liberalism is a disease.

..Court: Oklahoma can't enforce Sharia law ban

DENVER (Reuters) - A federal appeals court upheld an injunction against a voter-approved ban on Islamic law in Oklahoma on Tuesday, saying it likely violated the U.S. Constitution by discriminating against religion.

A three-member panel of the Denver-based U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled unanimously that the rights of plaintiff Muneer Awad, a Muslim man living in Oklahoma City, likely would be violated if the ban on Sharia law takes effect.

The decision upholds the ruling of a lower federal court.

"While the public has an interest in the will of the voters being carried out ... the public has a more profound and long-term interest in upholding an individual's constitutional rights," the appeals court said in a 37-page written decision.

The Washington, D.C.-based Council on American-Islamic Relations welcomed the ruling, calling it "a victory for the Constitution and for the right of all Americans to freely practice their faith."

Oklahoma's "Save Our State Amendment," which was approved by 70 percent of state voters in 2010, bars Oklahoma state courts from considering or using Sharia law.

The lawsuit challenging the measure was brought by the American Civil Liberties Union on behalf of Awad, who is director of the Oklahoma chapter of CAIR.

A federal judge in Oklahoma City issued a court order in November 2010 barring the measure from taking effect while the case is under review, finding a substantial likelihood that Awad would prevail on the merits.

The Council said the Oklahoma amendment is among 20 similar proposed laws introduced in state legislatures nationwide.

Defenders of the amendment say they want to prevent foreign laws in general, and Islamic Sharia law in particular, from overriding state or U.S. laws.

But foes of the Oklahoma measure, also called State Question 755, have argued that it stigmatizes Islam and its adherents and violates the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment prohibition against the government favoring one religion over another.

State Senator Anthony Sykes, one of the measure's sponsors, called the decision an attempt "to silence the voice of 70 percent of Oklahoma voters. At some point we have to decide whether this is a country of, by and for the judges, or of, by and for the people."

Opponents also say it could nullify wills or legal contracts between Muslims because they incorporate by reference specific elements of Islamic prophetic traditions.

Well as long as Muslims aren't offended...

this appeals court is made up of appointed judges, not elected ones. Therefore they do not have to bend to the will of the people. When foreign law overrules US and state law sovereignty ends.

WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

Here's a quick look into the three former Fannie Mae executives who were directly responsible for the Wall Street meltdown.

Franklin Raines was a Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Fannie Mae. Raines was forced to retire from his position with Fannie Mae when auditing discovered severe irregularities in Fannie Mae's accounting activities. Raines left with a "golden parachute valued at $240 Million in benefits. The Government filed suit against Raines when the depth of the accounting scandal became clear.

Tim Howard - was the Chief Financial Officer of Fannie Mae. Howard "was a strong internal proponent of using accounting strategies that would ensure a "stable pattern of earnings" at Fannie. Investigations by federal regulators and the company's board of directors since concluded that management did manipulate 1998 earnings to trigger bonuses. Raines and Howard resigned under pressure in late 2004. Howard's Golden Parachute was was estimated at $20 Million!

Jim Johnson - A former executive at Lehman Brothers and who was later forced from his position as Fannie Mae CEO. Investigators found that Fannie Mae had hidden a substantial amount of Johnson's 1998 compensation from the public, reporting that it was between $6 million and $7 million when it fact it was $21 million." Johnson is currently under investigation for taking illegal loans from Countrywide while serving as CEO of Fannie Mae. Johnson's Golden Parachute was estimated at $28 Million.

WHAT ARE THEY DOING NOW?

FRANKLIN RAINES?Raines works for the Obama Campaign as his Chief Economic Advisor!

TIM HOWARD?Howard is a Chief Economic Advisor to Obama under Franklin Raines!!

JIM JOHNSON?Johnson was hired as a Senior Obama Finance Advisor and was selected to run Obama's Vice Presidential Search Committee. (I guess that means biden is retiring to Delaware...)

Kinda makes you sick to your stomach. Kinda like letting the Fox into the hen house and holding the door open for them.

You choose the company you keep and you are known by that company. The list of malefactors in the Obama admisinstration is growing by leaps and bounds.
